Ladders

General rules

Make 3-5 picks and progressively win more based on how well each pick performs. Win a little on a decent night and a lot on a great night.

Each pick has 3 rungs to hit. All of your picks have to hit a rung to get that payout.

For example, let’s say LeBron points is picked. He has a projection of 15+ at rung 1, 20+ at rung 2, and 25+ at rung 3. He must get at least 15 points to contribute to a win, and if he gets 25 or more and the rest of the picks also get to their third rung projection, you win up to 1000x.

Winning and payouts

Underdog may periodically update the payout table for future contests. Once a participant enters a contest, the payout structure for that contest will not be changed. In all instances, payout information will be displayed to participants prior to entry in the contest.

Availability

Ladders will be available to everyone soon! Right now, it’s being rolled out gradually and may not appear for everyone just yet. We're excited to bring it to more players as we fine-tune the experience!

Champions

The “average prize” shown prior to entry of your Champions Ladders roster is an average based upon past win-rates to help entrants estimate what their share of the Champions prize may be. As with any average or estimate, entrants’ actual experience may vary from the average prize. We may periodically adjust how we calculate the “average prize” to make the estimate more accurate.

Champions Ladders is a feature of Underdog’s Champions contests. Champions Ladder entries earn progressively more Champions points based on the entry fee selected and the number of ladder rungs reached by each selection. A valid Champions Ladder entry containing any selection that fails to reach the first rung will not receive any Champions points. Once all selections have been graded, the entry is placed in a pool against other Champions contest entries. Winning entries and final prize amounts awarded are based on the number of Champions points earned in comparison to the other entries in the pool in which the entry is placed.

Lineup restrictions

Ladders entries must include active picks from at least two different teams. Ladders entries also require 3+ active picks to grade as Win or Loss.

What happens in the event of a voided pick?

If a tied or voided pick makes an entry invalid (see lineup restrictions), the entry will be considered Void, and the fee will be refunded.

If a pick is voided and the entry is still valid, the entry will be graded as a Loss if another pick is lost. If a pick is voided and the entry is still valid where all other picks won, the entry will be graded as a Win but will pay out for the number of active players. For example, a 4-pick Ladders entry with one void would become a 3-pick Ladders entry and if it wins, it would pay as a 3-pick Ladders win. A 3-pick ladder with void(s) will result in a refund.

What happens in the event of a Rescued selection for a Ladder entry?

If a player gets Rescued for a ladder entry, depending on how the other projections are graded, the entry may be eligible for a refund. For example: In a Pick 5 ladder entry, if 4 selections hit at least the first rung, and the last selection was Rescued, the entry would be refunded. Note: Even if the other selections aside from the Rescued projection all go beyond the first rung, the final payout would not increase. Rescues are meant to be protection for an entry - so even if all selections aside from the Rescued projection go past the second rung, the Ladder entry would still only remain eligible for a refund.

Can I edit an entry I've already submitted?

No entries may be edited after submission. Entries can be cancelled within a specified, short time after submission.
