What happens if a player or team is disqualified, withdraws, or retires after the match has started?
โ
Contracts on the advancing player settle in-the-money (correct). Contracts on the player who withdraws, retires, or is disqualified settle out-of-the-money (incorrect). The player who advances in the tournament is considered the winner of the match, and the other player is considered the loser of the match
If a player is disqualified after the conclusion of the match, results are not adjusted.
What happens if a player or team withdraws or is disqualified before the match takes place?
The matchup is treated as an Event Cancelled, regardless of whether the withdrawn or disqualified entrant is replaced or the opposing side simply advances.
What happens if a match is suspended?
If a match is suspended for any reason (weather, darkness, etc.), contracts will stand as long as the match resumes and is completed.
Do changes in venue, surface, or schedule affect settlement?
No. Contracts stand under any of the following conditions:
Change of venue
Indoor vs. outdoor court switch
Surface change (even mid-match)
Delayed start
Suspension, as long as the match resumes and is completed
Kalshi
What happens if a player is disqualified, withdraws, or retires?
If a player forfeits, withdraws from consideration, or takes any other official action that directly removes them from being able to achieve, such as withdrawing from the events that will determine the result, the market will resolve to โNoโ.
What happens if a match is delayed or cancelled?
If a match is delayed but still scheduled within the same tournament, markets remain open. A change of venue or playing surface does not affect this.
If a match is delayed and is no longer scheduled within the same tournament, markets resolve to the last fair price and a new market will be created for the rescheduled match.
If a match is cancelled before the first set begins, all markets resolve to the last fair price. If cancelled after the first set has started, unsettled markets also resolve to the last fair price.
