Next Drive: How It Works

What is Next Drive?

Next Drive is a prediction market on how an NFL team’s next offensive drive will end. Pick how an upcoming offensive drive ends, or pick a listed player to catch a pass on that drive. One drive. One pick.

How to make a pick

  1. Find Next Drive. Open Next Drive on an NFL Event Page, or use the Live lobby banner. Only priced, available markets can be selected.

  2. Check the drive. Confirm the team and drive number before you choose. During play, picks are for the offensive drive about to start.

  3. Choose your pick. Pick a drive result, or pick a listed player to catch a pass.

  4. Review and submit. Check your selection, entry amount, and potential payout, then submit your entry. Next Drive entries are singles only. You can’t cash out, and you can’t combine them with other picks.

  5. Follow the drive. Your active picks show below the field. Check Entries for status. Picks leave the carousel when the drive ends or they settle.

  6. Check the result. The listed contract rules determine the final result. Settlement may wait for the results source or a play review.

Result

What counts

Touchdown

The selected team scores an offensive TD.

Field Goal Attempt

Made, missed, or blocked attempts all count.

Punt

An executed punt counts, even if it’s blocked.

Turnover + Others

Interception, lost fumble, turnover on downs, safety, or a drive that never happens or finishes, per the contract rules.

Which drive am I picking?

During play, picks cover the offensive drive about to start, not the drive already underway.

  • A qualifying drive needs at least one offensive scrimmage snap. Kickoffs, returns, and extra points aren’t offensive drives.

  • Pregame, each team’s first drive may be available.

  • Always check the team and drive number in your selection, slip, or entry details.

Example: SF kicks off, so your pick is for the Rams’ next qualifying offensive drive.

When picks close

  • Picks may stay available through the kick, return, and break while the market is priced.

  • Trading closes at the first offensive play.

  • New drives update automatically.

  • Halftime and OT availability depends on market coverage.

Special situations

Kicks and fakes: A later recovery or score doesn’t replace an executed kick. A fake without a kick is graded on the resulting play.

Reviews and drive endings: Penalties and reviews are applied first. A same-team fumble recovery, or the end of Q1 or Q3, doesn’t end the drive on its own.

To Catch A Pass:

Player catch picks are “Yes” only, and the reception must count on that drive. If the selected player does not catch a pass on that drive, the pick resolves to incorrect.

FAQ

Can I cash out or combine Next Drive picks with other picks?
No. Next Drive entries are singles only. Cash out is not available for Next Drive or To Catch A Pass markets, and you can’t combine them with prediction or fantasy picks.

Which drive is my pick for?
Check the team and drive number in your selection, slip, or entry details.

Why can’t I submit a pick?
The market may be paused, unpriced, or closed for that drive. Check the current team and drive.

Why did a missed or blocked field goal count?
The result is Field Goal Attempt. Made, missed, and blocked attempts all count.

What if a return has a turnover?
Without an offensive snap, that team hasn’t used its next qualifying drive.
