Prediction Picks (Basketball)

Unless a rule includes a provider-specific exception below, it applies to all three providers (UDX, Kalshi, Crypto/Nadex). These rules apply to both the NBA and WNBA.

Does overtime count?

Yes. Overtime counts for all markets.

What happens if a game is postponed?

  • Resumes within 48 hours of its originally scheduled start: markets remain open and resolve once the official result is reported.

  • Not started within 48 hours: markets resolve to the last fair price.

EXCEPTION: Nadex (Predictions powered by UDM Services, LLC): If a game is postponed, cancelled, or otherwise not completed within 48 hours of its originally scheduled start with no winner decided, it is treated as Event Cancelled.

What happens if a game is delayed?

  • Delayed and re-commences within 48 hours of its originally scheduled start: markets remain open and resolve on the official record.

  • Delayed more than 48 hours: markets for any segment not yet fully completed resolve to the last fair price.

What happens if a game is cancelled?

If a game is cancelled, all markets resolve to the last fair price as determined by the Exchange.

What happens if a game is abandoned or suspended after it starts and doesn't resume?

If the game does not resume within 48 hours:

  • Any market for a segment that was fully completed before the disruption (and whose result is unequivocally determined) settles on the official record.

  • Any market for a segment that was not fully completed resolves to the last fair price.

For full-game markets specifically: the market settles on the official record only if the game reached 48 minutes of gameplay (NBA) or 40 minutes (WNBA), or the league declared the game's outcome official. Otherwise, it resolves to the last fair price.

If the game does resume within 48 hours, markets remain open and resolve once the official result is reported.

EXCEPTION: Nadex (Predictions powered by UDM Services, LLC): If the game is not completed within 48 hours of its originally scheduled start with no winner decided, it is treated as Event Cancelled — regardless of how much of the game was played.

What happens if my market is an Event Cancelled? (Nadex)

Your pick is paid out based on its recent market price, and your trading fees are refunded. (The payout uses the average price over the week before cancellation.)
